I know that disney now gives the schedules 6 months out and that we are now able to make adrs 180 days out so this is my question. That is the same amount of time. Do you get them the same day? If so that would mean I would have to sit and figure things out before I call and won't have time to think about it. Do you get the schedules a little before the ressies are due to be called in? If so about how much time did you have from getting the schedule and having to book your adrs? This has been stressing me since I need the schedule to be sure on my plans. Thanks in advance for any help.

Your best bet is to look at the Disney hours and figure out where you will be in order to make your dining reservations. I hate to be "tied" to it, but if you don't make the ressie it will be tough to get a sit down..(I think anyway)

How I did it was when we wanted to eat in Epcot, Mexico I took a look at the extra evening magic hours and avoided that day because the crowds will be the thickest for after dinner if we want to ride soarin, etc.

Booked the Fantasmic Dinner Package at Mama Melrose's at MGM on a night that was not an extra magic hour.....

Also* they list what attractions are available during the extra magic hour...
We usually like to do the AM extra magic hours, but noticed at MGM the only AM one we would do is Muppets.. (going with my mother who is older and wont do the thrill rides)... so there is no sense in going to that AM extra magic hour... Good luck :cheer2:

The only disadvantage to the 180 days in ADR and the 6 month calendar listed on Walt Disney World Resort is whether you are arriving exactly on the 1st of the month. Otherwise the calendar is printed includes the whole month with the EMH, ets., to help with planning your day. Tha's what I did, as soon as the August calendar was out I confirmed the park schedule with ADRs and EMH. I had already decided which restaurants we wanted to dine and then I just fit it into the day I wanted to be in which park.

We have never scheduled our parks around the EMH before so I will be interested to see if it is a good idea.
