Making ADRs without Disney Dining Plan

We do not have the dining plan, and I know that I will have to pay full price when I make my ADR for CRT. Is this the only place I will have to pay full price when booking? Can I just do a credit card deposit for my other ADRs? This is my first time make ADRs and I'm a little lost! Thanks!

you will have to pay in full CRt and give your CC number to make reservations at Akershus and fantasmic package if you want one. Most restaurats don't even require any cc numbers at all. you simply make your ressie and that's it.

The majority of places do not require a full payment or even a CC to hold. I did not connect my ADRs to my dining plan online, and only had to give a CC to hold for Akershus.

Hoop De Doo, Spirit of Aloha luau and Mickey's Backyard Barbecue also require full payment at time of booking.

Thank you so much for the replies! I am not even sure where else we are eating yet; I just know that CRT is a must!! I really need to get on the ball. My 180+ is in 8 days.

The only full pre-payment locations are CRT and the three dinner shows (HDDR, SoA, Mickey's BBQ). All 4 of these will "morph" into CC holds if reserved while attached to a confirmed resort reservation that includes an applicable dining plan. Note that failure to adhere to the cancellation policy will result in the full charge being deducted from the CC.

There are a few others that require simple CC holds. In most cases, a smaller fee is assed for failure to meet the cancellation policy ($10-$15) rather than full price.

It's also important to note that there have been many cases where a partial party showing up at either the prepaid or CC held locations have been assesed the cancellation fee for missing members (CG has been an exception to this, because it's not a fixed price type of place). Just something else to be wary of.

The Wishes Dessert Party is also pay-at-time-of-reservation. It is not included on any DDP, so everybody pays up front.
