Making ADRs when MNSSHP dates not out

How has anyone in the past planned their ADRs when the dates for MNSSHP don't come out too far in advance? We don't like to go to the MK during the day of MNSSHP, usually pick a park we spend less than a day at, and we like not to plan anything too early in the am the next day. So, I can't plan which park for which day until I know what day we're going to MNSSHP, so I can't plan ADRs!! Get it?? Any suggestions?

I can't remember when the MNSSHP dates (I think late April or May1st) came out but we booked our trip for October 07 in May 07 and the dates for MNSSHP were out then - I remember I ordered my MNSSHP tickets May 12th. So we had adequate time to plan our itinerary & ADRs. I did it all in one day. As far as ADRs on the day we went to MNSSHP we didn't have one we spent 1/2 day at AK and came back for a nap/swim prior to MK. We had cs for both lunch & dinner. I didn't want to spend any of our MK evening in a restuarant - the time from 4:30 - 6:00 is a great time to do some rides and then grab a quick bite. Then the Halloween festivities begin around 7.

I would just make a couple of itineraries & play around w/them. When the dates come out tweek whichever one works and go w/it. We actually had to cancel our trip in May 07 because DD4 was sick so I had already made our itinerary for May which I used for October. Tweeked a few things but we got all the ADRs we wanted-CRT,CM,CP,Kona Cafe, Sci Fi, Ohana's & the times we wanted w/in 30-40 minutes. No problem w/BBB either. The official hours for October won't be out until April anyways but I used the previous years hours in planning our May trip and they were right on.

I envy you being able to plan a trip & ADRs - it'll be a couple of years before we go back. Have fun and a wonderful trip.

Dates were released officially the last week of April (but tentative dates were out by February!) and the tickets went on sale April 30 so you should be able to plan your ADRs around the MNSSHP dates.

If by chance, when you are going, the dates haven't been released then I'd just go by the previous year's dates and hope for the best and then change my ADR the second the tickets do go on sale.
