Making ADRs tomorrow...some questions

Hey everyone,

I'm making ADRs for my January trip tomorrow, and I have some questions. First of all, should I make the reservations over the phone or online? I would stay up until 3 am to make them online if I knew the system would work, but I've gotten the error message every time I've tried to retrieve my resort reservations. Am I better off just calling at 7 am?

Other random questions:

1. I'm planning on seeing Fantasmic at 6:30 on January 7th and we'll be eating at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. Would you recommend eating before or after, and what time?

2. We'll (hopefully) be eating at Epcot on January 8-11. IllumiNations is at 8 pm on Friday, and 9 pm Saturday-Monday. What day do you think will be best to go, and around what time should we have dinner?

Well, I made my adr's last week at 3 am. It worked for me at that time, but we have a split stay with the 2nd part of the trip beginning on 1/1 and that reservation has never worked on-line. I think I would just call right at 7, if the on-line system isn't working before you go to bed.

We are seeing Fantasmic at 6:30. This is on NYE so we figured we would need to be in line by about 4 pm to make sure we get a seat. So, we are eating afterwards at 7:40.

I don't have an answer for you for illuminations, but would assume a Monday would be less crowded than the weekend.

please just check and make sure that you can access your resevation. I got up at 3 the other morning and the online system wasnt able to pull up my vacation reservation!

If you want to check out crowds, go to touringplans.com and check out their crowd calendar. I believe it cost around $8 for a year subscription. We always use this calendar and it has worked really, really well. It will also give you the best days to go to each park.

I have also had a small problem with online reservations. Made all of my reservations for my upcoming trip. When I went to retrieve them, all of them came up except for one. Had to call Disney to get it straight. Not sure what the problem was because the ressie number never changed. Who knows?

I guess if it were me, I some what of a major planner,...I would try the online system at 3am...if that didn't work, then you can always try the phone.
