So I have been making our reservations and it looks like I will be short 1 table service meal. Can you buy extra table service credits? or do I just pay for one of our meals out of pocket?

If I pay out of pocket, what would be the cheapest to pay for to try and get most out of DP? Below are my reservations.

Chef Mickey Breakfast
BOG Dinner
1900 Park Fare Dinner
Tusker House Lunch
Akershus Dinner
Hollywood & Vine Dinner

I am already paying for CRT and Luau out of pocket.

Thanks

Our travel agent just told me you can't buy extra credit's, so I can upgrade to Deluxe or pay out of pocket. Right now it looks like Tusker House lunch will be cheapest it looks like $38 per adult and $23 per child.

IMO H&V has the absolute worst food in all of Disney, so unless its one of those special dining ADRs I would drop it and eat counter service.

Thanks, we have never eaten there and booked it for the Christmas theme. I may do that, I don't think we have ever eaten table service at HS.

You order off the menu at BOG, so you should look at the menu to see if it might be cheaper.

Don't pay for 1900 Park Fare out of pocket. It's something like $50 per person OOP.

We have the exact opposite opinion. We live the characters in their Christmas finery AND the food was excellent, especially for a buffet. We've gone 2 years in a row and will continue to book it.

There's always upgrading to the deluxe plan. Especially if you were already planning on paying for those other two meals out of pocket. Look how much it will cost you to upgrade for what looks like a 5-night stay.

Upgrading to deluxe would take away the dedicated counter service credits, but give you two additional table service credits per person per night in exchange. These table service credits could still be used to eat at a quick service location if you'd prefer.

It's worth pricing out, especially for someone that does want the spend a decent portion of their trip at some fun restaurants. It would also give you the flexibility to include even MORE places if you felt like it. It won't necessarily work out ahead, but it's worth pricing out and seeing. CRT and the luau are fairly expensive (and two dining credit) meals. SO of your 10 new credits per person, you'd already have 5 accounted for.

I actually priced it out last night with the travel agent. You are correct I was planning on paying for CRT and Luau out of pocket, and by the time I do that I might as well upgrade. The only issue is that the travel agent told me you cant sit in Section 1 at Luau on DDP, you must pay to sit in that Section. However you can sit in Section 1 at Hoop Dee Doo, so we may do that instead. We have seen the Spirt of Aloha but not Hoop Dee Doo. And yes we booked 5 nights six day tickets. I also considered staying a 6th night for extra meal credits.

We're planning on doing hoop de doo on our trip in September. I never got around to it when I was a cast member, but it's supposed to be super fun.

Your plan sounds fabulous! I'm lucky we have a long trip, or we'd have needed a deluxe plan to fit in the dining I wanted to do.

Have fun!

If using dining credits, Category 1 is only at the 8:30 show, but Category 2 & 3 at all shows.

Since you mentioned Christmas earlier in the thread, note that Hoop De Doo is pre-assigned seating based on when you make your reservation. December reservations have been open since June, so the sooner you book HDD the better.

Thanks for that, I wasn't planning on Hoop De Doo until last night and didn't know that.
