Husband and I are going to WDW end of Nov 2014, staying at AKL with DVC, using Deluxe Dining Plan. Giving a second room to 2 friends (they have their own reservation number and dining plans) who will be dining with us all meals, but they are arriving one day later than we are (we will be there one night on our own before they arrive). I am making all the plans, reservations, etc. My question is: can I make ADRs for the four of us on the first day 180 days out using my arrival date and, if so, can I do it online - or do I have to wait one extra day until their 180 days out? I know they usually ask for resort reservation number to verify our arrival date when making reservations.

If you are logged in with a reservation linked to your online account, then there shouldn't be any more problem than there usually is with the 180+10 days thing...

You should be able to make reservations in your name, with your online account, linked to your reservation, for any party size. I have done this in the past with trips where local friends were joining us, or family members were refusing to stay onsite and yet wanted to join us for dinner, etc.

Makes no difference how many guests you make the reservation for, even at 180+ 10. You will be able to make them for the entire group.
