Closing in on our 180 days and I wondered which way is better to make ADRs, online or by phone? I am going to attempt to get in to CRT and Le Cellier, which I know are difficult, so I wasnt sure if it was better to do online?

Here are some other places we'd like to get ADRs, any others difficult to get a ressie that I should be aware of?

CP
Akershus
Donalds Safari
Cali Grill
1900 Park Fare

Thanks!

Online should be just as good, as calling online. I actually get frustrated when I call, so I'm glad online is an option now.

The biggest tip I can give you is do Le Cellier first when book on your 180 day mark. While you can still get ressies after it seemed all booked up, you have to stalk the online system or get lucky on the cancellation posts, and hit it right to snag a cancellation.

Good luck, have fun!

Online at 6am EST.

My guess would be Donald's Safari Breakfast and Akershus as your first. However, I have never booked Calli Grill before so that might be first.

Kind of depends also on the times. Like if you want a CP 8:05am before the park opens, then that might go before some of the others. If it doesn't matter the exact time just dinner, then I'd book it near the end.

Honestly if you are up at 6am and ready to go at your 180 day mark, you should get everything. Might have to comprimise on the time but you should get in.

CRT is the only one you have to pay for in advance so book that one first IMO. Then LeCellier

Akershus depends on the day and what meal. The breakfast is PHENOM
Cali Grill should be no prob getting ADR btw the best meal i ever had in WDW.
Tusker House is popular especially the 8 am time slot
Garden Grill in Epcot is also extremely popular
CP and 1900 you should get 180 out without a prob i would just make sure you do CRT and LC first.

HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the advice. I'm going to finalize my days/times today so I'll make a list of the order to submit the reservations. With CRT do they still make you use a charge card even though I'll be on the DxDP? To hold the table or something?

Yes, the card will be taken to hold the reservation. They shouldn't charge you at the time, but keep an eye out before you confirm the reservation as it should show you "Amount due today". There's been issues in the past where even confirmed reservations with a proper dining plan have been charged. If it's showing anything but 0, you'll either have to pay now and be refunded when you eat, or call and have a CM do it over the phone.

Assuming it all goes correctly and you're given the $0 due today, the CC number will be held and only charged if you don't know up or cancel within the time period.

Ok thanks! Will watch for that.

This may be a silly question, after you make your 180 day out ADRs do you have to reconfirm these later closer to your trip time?

Nope! Though the dinner shows (Luau at the Poly, HDDR, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ) may require this, the vast majority of locations do not.

However, due to the nature of computer programs and databases, it's usually a good idea to recheck them a few weeks out from the trip, just to make sure there aren't any nasty surprises while you're down there. (It happens very, exceedingly, immensely rarely, but it has happened). It's also a good idea to double-check (and bring) the confirmation numbers with you, in case they can't find it by name (this has happened a bit more often, but still pretty rare).

I guess I should read the whole post. I missed the part about CRT and Le Cellier.

I'd go with Le Cellier first.

Since CRT requires your CC information that will take a little longer when booking. Since dinner also has the characters it's not as hard to get anymore. I think Tusker House breakfast is harder.
