Isn't tomorrow (Feb 16th) the day that DVC members can start making ADRs for Sanaa, the restaurant at the new Animal Kingdom Villas at Kidani Village that opens May 1st? I called Disney Dining to ask whether they would be serving breakfast and to confirm that I could call tomorrow morning, and the CM said they have received no word yet on Sanaa. She even called her supervisor and she has not heard anything either, not even when the restaurant would open or when they could start making reservations.

Does anyone have any inside information on this?

Hi,

This is what is on allearsnet:

Sanaa (pronounced sah-NAH), the new table service restaurant at Animal Kingdom Villas' Kidani Village set to open May 1, 2009, will begin taking reservations for Disney Vacation Club Members ONLY (via Member Services) beginning February 16. Named for the Swahili word for "artwork," Sanaa will feature African-inspired cuisine with an Indian touch and will be open for lunch and dinner. The restaurant will serve familiar foods prepared in tandoor ovens, along with slow-cooked specialties showcasing the flavorful spices of Africa.

Non-DVC Members can make reservations at Sanaa beginning February 23 by calling 407-WDW-DINE (939-3463).

So that leads me to beileve that one of two things has happened:

1) The plan has changed and Sanaa will not be taking reservations on the 16th.

---or---

2) You spoke with a CM who was not told anything about the fact that he/she will be taking Sanaa reservations on the 16th.

If I were you, I would just call back in the morning!

It seems to me they only tell cm's on the day things change. In my short disneyworld "career" I have often told cm's things I have heard on these boards that they have not even heard about.
In fact I have asked some cm's about a reservation date for sanna before it was announced at the dvc member site and they had not even heard of it yet.

I do believe I will be calling early tomorrow morning to check. :thumbsup2
I think I trust the Allears web site more than the official Disney web site. :rolleyes1
