Making adrs 180 days out question

I was doing some research on this board re: making adrs. I read a post where a lady called at her 180 days out from her arrival date and could not book a ressies for CRT during her stay. The CM told her she had to call back exactly 180 days out for CRT. I thought guests staying at Disney resorts could make ressies for their stay up to 10 days. Is that right? Maybe she wasn't staying onsite - I just assumed she was as she could make other ressies.

We arrive on a Saturday and I want to try to book CRT for Sunday or Tuesday or Wednesday (trying to be flexible). So now I'm wondering if I can do this on my 180 day or I have to try each day. Any thoughts? TIA

I'll be glad when I can make my adrs - this whole system makes me nervous!

You are right, you can make ADRs 180+10 days ahead; I'm also thinking the lady was staying offsite.

No - its very confusing. You can make up to 10 days of adrs 180 days from your arrival date. So when you call you can book all your adrs for your vacation up to the 10th day 180 days from arrival date.

It is my understanding that CRT can indeed be booked at the 180 plus 10 timeframe, but they do not open up a lot of tables for this booking. Once the 180 plus 10 tables are gone, they are gone. They then open the rest of the tables up on the exact 180 days. Often the dining CM will encourage guests to call at the exact 180 day mark if they can't get ADRs at the 180 plus mark.

There are some restaurants that do not allow ADRs at the 180 plus mark. They are pretty much non-disney owned restaurants. I know I wasn't able to make 180 plus ADRs for Rainforest Cafe or House of Blues

No - you still have to call at the 180 day mark. At that time if you are staying onsite you can make ADRs for the first day of your vacation AND the next ten days of your vacation. You can not call 190 days from your check in and make ressies one day at a time.

180 +10 means the 180th day before your vacay starts you can call and do ADRs for the first 10 days of your vacay. if you are onsite, instead of having to call everyday for like 10 days to get your adrs, you can just call once

You have to punch in your telephone number or reservation number when you call - they probably know from that.
