Making A Wish

Does anyone know if Disney has a Make A Wish Program? There are 2 children in my area, age 4 and 8 that just lost their mother to breast cancer last week. I would love to find a way for their dad to take them to Disney for a few days when school lets out for the summer. Any suggestions or might I contact? Thank you for any help.

As I understand it, make a wish provides wishes for children who have life threatening illnesses, so they wouldn't be an appropriate referral in this case. However, there might be other resources/organizations out there. Did their mom receive Hospice care? If so, I would talk to the MSW at the hospice, and see if he/she might know of any resources. I wouldn't do anything quite yet, though. You don't want to start planning something that the family may not want, and I"m sure the Dad is in no emotional space to think about it yet. My prayers are with the family.
