Making a room request

I would like to have the jazz building at Music. We will be arriving at the hotel between 7 - 8 a.m. Should I ask at check-in for the jazz building or call now and ask? Should I get my cute little daughter to ask at checkin
This is our first onsite and first trip with the kids so I would like to be close to the pool and possibly on the top floor.

Call reservations and have your request added to your reservation. When you go to check in you can always ask again if it hasn't been granted. No need to call.

Today I called CRO and I asked to add on two requests for my ressies a non smoking room for both and Jamaica for CBR and Zebra Trail for AKL. Reservation CM told me they are just requests and what not and I told him that was fine.

Before this the only thing I ever had noted on my ressies was non-smoking, but this is my first time traveling on a Sat in a long time and I figured I had better make a few requests. Usually I would just ask at check-in and they have been granted in the past.
