Making a room only reservation question?

Can I make a room only reservation now and then if I decide before we go, can I add a package with the tickets?? I just want to make sure I can stay where I want for vacation but not sure on our whole trip plan yet!

Yes, I did this recently. I booked the room early and they charge you the one night. I avoided paying for the tix early by calling a few days before the trip and then added them to the reservation.

If you book a room only and then want to switch to a package, you have to cancel the room only and rebook as a package. Also, in order to add the dining plan you must do so no later than 72 hours prior to check-in. You would also need to pay for the plan at the 45 day mark OR whenever you call to add it if under the 45 day mark.

This is correct. I also wanted to add that when cancelling the room only, the deposit and any money paid toward that reservation will be refunded in the form it was made, as money cannot be transferred between room only ressies and packages.

Why not just keep it a room only and either purchase tickets when you arrive or decide a little in advance and purchase through Undercover Tourist and save a little money. We always do room only and purchase tickets through Undercover Tourist. Also, If you do the calculations, unless you eat a ton of food, we have found it to be cheaper to pay out of pocket for food.

If you already own your tickets and you want the room package with dining, you have to buy a 1 day park ticket for each member in your room.

If you just want to add the tickets, you can purchase them separately at check-in, they can add them to your keys. To add dining, you would have to change it to a package in advance and pay in full.

We have done Room Only the last 2 trips.About a month out I called and added the tickets. Everything was ready when we got to POFQ.

When I booked room only recently they kept trying me to get the tickets etc. Because of health issues I told them I was not ready until we are closer and I am sure I can take the trip. They told me I can add those elements anytime (I think it was up until a couple of days before the trip.)

If you add tickets to your room, it becomes a package and is payable in full if less than 45 days before checkin.

If you just buy tickets, you pay for the tickets in full, and the room when you get there. Tickets are non-refundable. (Of course, if you're just buying tickets, you can save a few bucks by using a reseller like Undercover Tourist.)

If you want the dining plan, you must buy at least a 1 day ticket, and your room reservation must become a package (with all the cancel/rebooking/redepositing as mentioned above).
