Making a reservation

Is there any time that you cannot make a reservation online and must call? For example, if you rent points to someone else and have to make a reservation in their name, can that be done online? I like to "see" everything I'm doing so I always prefer online vs. calling someone.

Side question: Can the dining plan be added online or is that something entirely different?

Modifying a reservation and using transferred points needs a phone call. All else, online 1 hour prior to the phones opening. DDP can be added online and so can name changes to a reservation via email.

You input the names of whomever is staying in the room so yes, you can make a reservation online for someone else.
