Ok here's my little dilemma, Every year for the past 8 years my oldest always celebrates her bday at CHef Mickeys and every year she gets a placemat...
This year we are going for both our girls bdays and celebrating at Chef Mickeys as well. I did not realize but due to the "what will you Celebrate " promo Chef Mickeys is not giving out Bday placemats ...I called and emailed Disney about this just to see if it was indeed true and it is..I even asked if I could possibly purchase one but.. no go! I feel bad because my youngest had said that her sister always gets one and this year even though she's having her bday there she still won't be able to get one (you know how kids are)..

So my question is this..Anyone have any ideas about making a placemat? I'd love to make it special for her maybe with chef Mickey on it as well as the other characters that are usually there....I've checked ebay for one..they have the plastic ones but not the same..And I just could'nt take one from my oldest and "pretend " it was at chef mickeys....Any help would be great!

Do you sew? You could probably put one together fairly easily (and have it autographed by the characters!).

Where in RI are you?

i was at dollar tree not too long ago and they had some plastic placemats that were disney characters - cars -princess - fab 5
check there if you have a dollar store -
take a sharpie and have the characters sign it

Yeah I could sew it ...But really would rather make one she could use every day...besides I'm putting together (trying) an autograph book for my 2 girls...
I live in West Warwick...You a fellow Rhody?

On the Creative DISigns board, a couple people have made placemats. Here is one were she used vinyl, then used an fabric iron-on transfer sheet to add a design. There are pictures of it in the thread.

Or you could always print an entire placemat out on paper and laminate it. Maybe you could ask someone on the DISign board to make up a design for you, then print that out.

Characters should be able to sign it if you use a Sharpie if going the vinyl or laminate route. Hope that helps! :goodvibes
