Making a July reservation

Theres some availability that opened up for 4th of July week and I am looking to make a reservation by borrowing points. I don't have any current use year points right now, and I have a September use year? I am thinking it wouldn't be a risk since if the parks are still closed by then they are returning borrowed points but what do ya'll think?

They can change that rule at any time so there is the risk that the policy could go away,

Only you can decide if you want to take the risk.

I thought the temporary rule change is for when RESORTS are closed, not PARKS. I can see how resorts can reopen while the parks remain closed. If that is the case and you would rather not go, I doubt your borrowed points would go back to original UY.

I wouldn’t risk it. People will cancel. If it’s there last minute and it’s open and you’re happy to go, then go for it. Don’t borrow given the circs if you can avoid it.
