We have a flight at noon leaving the cruise. When I called DCL to give them my flight info, the person told me to change the flight because we wont make it. I tried to change my flight but none others available. Called DCL back and spoke with a different person who told me that if I dont go for sit down breakfast and head straight up to debarkation we will be the first off the boat and to the shuttles. Does anyone have any feed back on this matter.
Thanks for any info I can get, I'm a little nervous

We went to early sit down breakfast and then to limo. We were at the airport befor 10. Do not know about the bus.

I've got a flight at 11:56 to Boston! Oh I hope I'm on it! Good Luck, I hear you can make it.

Well my flight is at 1120 and I am counting on it. As long as there are no problems at the port and we clear customs ok there should not be a problem.

both my trips we had breakfast at early seating, left the ship about 20 mins after they opened it up, and was at the airport via the buses by 10 am both times.

Made my 11:30 and 12 pm flights without a bit of sweat.

As long as the ship arrives at port on time, you should have no problems at all

Well, it depends. We made a 12:35 flight, barely. We got to the gate just 30 minutes before flight time.
Disney makes it clear that any flight BEFORE 12:30 is an EARLY flight.
IF the ship arrives on time, IF clears customs and immigration in a timely fashion, and IF there aren't any crashes on the highway, and IF there is no backup at security at the airport, you should be fine. But ANY delay could put your flight in jeopardy.

To this day, I do not know what the delay was getting off our cruise, which ended 1-3-04. I do know we lined up at 8:30, and it was 9:15 before we stepped off the ship. The line went thru the Attrium, past Luminieres, and did circles inside Parrot Cay. It kept moving the entire time, just very slowly.
I do know that Disney wants everyone off by 9 am, and I do know that it took until 10:15 on our cruise to get everyone off.
We actually got to the airport at 10:15, but there was a 90 minute wait to pass through security at the airport. I like to be at the gate at least an hour before boarding, we make it 15 minutes before boarding, and 30 before departure time.
I guess Clint Eastwood sums it up best. " Do you feel lucky?" Can it be done? Yes. Can there be problems? Yes. Pushing your flight back past 12:30 greatly increases your chances of making your flight.

as long as everything goes as planned and there are no unexpected delays you should make it fine. We were off the ship and on Main Street of Magic Kingdom around 9am last cruise!!

We are on the 11:45am flight to Wisconsin this February and hope we make it. Last year we were off the ship by about 9:00am, but are flight did no leave till 6:50pm. It made for a long day that way, so this year we are trying the early flight. I'm not too worried about not making it, but you never know what may happen.

We have a Noon flight also. What is the best thing to do in the am? Order Room service cereal the night before? Go to a buffet breakfast? We are also using limo service. What is the earliest time you can get off the ship?

"Normally" you can get off the ship starting at 8 am.
It's the "abnormal" times we are trying to warn you all about.
Which is why Disney suggests everyone book flights from 12:30 on.

Just thought I would let everyone know. We booked our January 15th 2005 cruise with DCL. DCL has us flying out of MCO on the 22nd at 11:55 a.m.

Hi everyone... Newbie here! Taking my first Wonder cruise 2/27/05 and am wondering... we dont leave MCO till 6:45, so any recommendations what to do for the whole day after getting off the ship? I had thought about the Day room at Hyatt, but they are sold out... I also thought about hanging at the Radisson, but they do not offer the day rate....
Any/all suggestions are appreciated as this is my FIRST cruise and I want it to be great for the family, because I already know I want to do it again, and I havent even left yet!!!!

:boat:

Are you on the Wonder or Magic? We sailed the Magic last November and made it to Orlando by 10:20. It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving usually busy and we were late seating......we took DCL bus transportation and had pleanty of time!!!!

We had no problems making our 10:30am flight today.

Mudangel77: Room service is only available on disembarking day if you have a suite booked and even then, it's only continental breakfast. You do have some choices though, you can absolutely grab some cereal boxes, milk and cutlery from Topsiders the day before and store them in your refrigerator. Or they offer a continental breakfast there beginning at 6:30am.

We booked a town car service for an 8am pick up. The DCL bus will not leave the port until it's filled up. When we left at 8am, none of the busses had gone yet. We also did not put out our luggage the night before. This is an option you have where your luggage is left in front of your stateroom by 11pm on the night before disembarking. An attendant will pick it up and it will be removed from the ship in the morning. When you disembark, you go to the area where your stateroom number is located and find your luggage there (porters are lined up to assist you). We each only had a rollaway and backpack, so bringing it out ourselves in the morning was not a problem. We were cleared to leave the boat at about 7:30 and without having to stop and look for luggage, we were one of the first guests through customs. Our driver was prompt and we were sitting at the airline gate at 8:55am.

Of course, things do happen and the ship can be delayed temporarily. I think the norm for starting the disembarking process is between 7:30 and 8am.

TammiMcMan, you sound just like me! I didn't leave my luggage out either, hit BBB for breakfast and was off the ship before 8am. Our flight was at 11:50 but we did take the buses and got to the airport at 9am.

Deedz, several people have mentioned going to DTD for a few hours to me. I'm in the same dilemma, but I'll probably have a rental car.

Don't worry about anything!! You will be fine. The day we got off the ship we had to pick up DS at the airport. His flight was landing at 11:30, We were there with over an hour to spare. They are very organized with the disembarkment. No need to worry!!
