I just called and they only had 5 openings left for Aug 18th for 4 people. :sad2: I am glad I jumped on that. Chef Mickey's was wide open though which surprised me. I still have yet to make the rest of the reservations for free dining but just wanted to warn you all to get the high demand restaurants in now!!

You're lucky you had a choice of times. I recall somebody else posting a few days ago that there was nothing at all available for the August date she was trying to get.

I called for late September and the only thing left was 1 table at 8:30PM.
My past experience has been that they open more tables for reservations as time goes on. I have trouble thinking that it would be impossible to get a reservation so far out, but who knows!

I'll be there that night for dinner too! One of the problems with Aug. 18th is there is a special event that evening and some of the other restaurants aren't taking ADRs...Coral Reef and Chefs de France, not sure about any others. It didn't matter to me which night I went to Le Cellier, it just happened by elimination to be the best night! :thumbsup2

Now that you mention it, I had the same problem when I called for Coral Reef dinner ressies for 8/18.

My DH and I are going the week of Sept. 10. I just called today and had no problems getting anything I wanted that week. I have Le Cellier on the Friday night at 7:30. I do know September is a lot slower that August. That is the reason we go at that time.

What special event - I know it is EMH that night but is it a concert or something else? We were planning on eating and then doing all the countries at night but if it crazy with a special event - maybe we'll head over to Jellyrolls!!

We originally wanted reservations for Coral Reef for August 18th. I was told that the restaurant is not open on that date for dinner due to a special event. We switched to Italy for that night and we had no problem getting that.
Our ADRs were made before the free dining - we are staying at that time on DVC.

Looks like it will be busy the 3rd week in August. Le Cellier is one of DS's "must do" restaraunts but when I tried to make our ADR today for Aug. 20th I only had a choice of 4:00 PM or 8:30 PM for our family of 5. I took the 4:00 but I am hoping as time gets closer I will keep trying to get something a little later. This is when I miss staying concierge. They never seem to have trouble getting a time anywhere.

We like eating in the middle of the afternoon. The only reservation we could get for last week was 2:10 in the afternoon. That was fine with us. We had called months in advance. While we were waiting, three parties walked in off the street and were seated before we were. Our waitress wasn't the best and one in our party sent their steak back as it was well done. She ordered it medium rare. They did come back with another one right away. They said the chef stole it from another customer. The steaks were good. The cheese soup was good and the bread sticks were also good.

I just wanted to say we love Le Cellier!!

When I made my ADR's a week and a half ago, there were a ton of availability. See what happens when word gets out!!! :rotfl2:

Same here, we are there on the 18th - the kids are going to the Neverland Club and DH & I are heading to Le Cellier. We are staying DVC and booked our ADR's ages ago

The CM didn't know specifically. I imagine a private party of some sort...

We have ADRs for LeCellier for 8/18 @ 7:00 and Coral Reef on 8/19 @ 7:30. I made my ADRs the day I booked my free dining package (4/3--the day before it was released to the public). It was wide open when I called and could choose any time I wanted--table for 2.

I had no problem getting the time we wanted (around 5:30 pm) at LeCellier for the first week of October when I called a few days ago... no trouble getting anything else either, for that matter. When I got to the LeCellier day, the CM on the phone said "Oooh, you're going to love eating there!". I'm hungry already!
