For those of you not signed up to Scott's PS calculator, here's the content of an e-mail I've received:
<i>On Tuesday, August 27, it will be 120 days prior to December 25th or
Christmas Day. Being a major holiday, Priority Seatings, or PS
for short, will be at a premium in the places listed below. Thus,
starting at 7am, you can call WDW Dining at 407-WDW-DINE or, if you
are a Disney Club member, call 800-933-3975 (press 3 for Dining), and
make PS for:
EPCOT Future World and EPCOT World Showcase restaurants
(including the Princess Breakfast at Norway)
Disney-MGM Studios restaurants ** Lunch Only **
Animal Kingdom Breakfastosaurus Breakfast Only
Animal Kingdom Rain Forest Cafe
All Resort Restaurants (Including Swan & Dolphin Restaurants)
NOTE: WDW Dining is now requiring a credit card number to hold a PS
for all major US holidays. Have your credit card handy when making a
PS for either Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's or Easter.
WARNING: WDW Dining Reservation Systems have been slow to get 120 day
PS slots entered. It seems this is not an automatic system but needs
input from each restaurant before they get entered. This may delay
when you'll be able to make a PS for a restaurant you wish to eat at.
Don't let this bother you. Be polite and supportive of the Dining
Cast Member, it's not his/her fault. Ask when they feel the
information will be available.
Watch the various Walt Disney World message boards and newsgroups for
when WDW Dining starts taking them for the holiday you want. And, if
you find out first, let us all know!
Some Tips:
Know what restaurant or event you want prior to calling with a list
of acceptable times and restaurants in the event your first choice is
not available.
You should start calling a couple of minutes before 7:00 AM EASTERN
and keep trying until a WDW Dining Cast Member answers the phone. If
you are put on hold, DO NOT hang up. Wait until a CM picks up.
When you finally get the CM on the phone, start with the PS for the
most popular restaurant first (ie., Cinderella's Breakfast).
