Okay, so I'm totally bum-tastical right now.

Space Mountain AND Haunted Mansion are closed when I'm going in September.

Two of my top three fave rides. *sigh*

Tell me it will be alright....at least I still have POTC!!!

Sounds like a good reason to start planning another trip after this one!

Yeah, it's a bummer to have 2 good rides down at the same time but you'll find lots of other things to do and you'll have a great time. Maybe use the opportunity to do some things you don't normally do.

Yeah, I think I'll FINALLY wait in line to go on Nemo...we skipped it last time because of the lines.

Maybe this means they aren't expecting big crowds while you are there if they are planning to have two huge rides down? That could be good news...

More time to wait in line and get passes for Toy Story Mania!! ...unless you aren't going to DCA, which would just be crazy

YOU WILL BE ALRIGHT! Just like us! We will find plenty of other things to do while on are trips...they may be even more magical than ever! I definately know how you feel (both are two of our favs also!), but keep your chin up! We will have a fantastic trip no matter what

Well, this frees up time to ride POTC over and over!

There are 100s of other things to do at DLR that can make amazing memories. Maybe you will even discover something new that you love that you never knew before.

For what it's worth: I had not been to WDW in over 10 years. One of my favorite things at DL used to be Country Bear Jamboree which has been gone from DL from a very long time, but still exists at WDW. When we planned our WDW trip, I could not WAIT to see CBJ again. I was SOOOO excited for our trip to WDW - and seeing CBJ. It was on the top of my list! This is what I got upon arrival:

Those pesky bears were hibernating our entire visit.

Did we still have a great time? Yep!
Did we still love our trip? Yep!
Is the above picture now a memory I laugh at with poetic irony? Yep
And is the CBJ a perfect excuse to find my way back to WDW again? You bet!

You will still have a great time. It's 2 our of countless wonderful, amazing, terrific, memory-making things to do at DLR, but it's not DLR. I know the disappointment, but I also know it's only as big as you make it. Trust me, I know from first-hand experience.

Lol that's what I did. I'm planning a trip Halloween weekend. If I can't see the reg SM then I want to see the Halloween one!!

Thanks everybody!! I'm feeling excited again! There is so much other stuff to do at Disneyland, and of course, I'll ride POTC a few extra times. That should help!

Lol! Oh Dreams! That's so sad! Poor thing not getting to see your bears after looking forward to it so much. At least you didn't let it ruin your trip! I love that you added your picture to your sob story so we got to "experience" the disappointment you had.
