Make It Quick! Spring Break CS Reviews

:thumbsup2

Wow great photos and thank you. The food looks delicious and yummy. The 1st dessert you bought at Starring Rolls? What is it called?? It looks so yummy and is making me very hungry right now!!!! Keep the pictures coming they are great!!!!

Thanks for the great pictures! It's nice to see some of the CS places. We always spend so much time focusing on the TS, but the CS are a big part of our vacation too.:thumbsup2

I really like the Backlot Grilled Turkey sandwich too! Now you've got me craving that Greek salad this early in the AM.;)

Great reviews & pics:thumbsup2

makes me hungry..........................

I wanted to add my thanks for the dining review with the focus on CS. It's harder to find info about these restaurants than the TS ones, and we're planning to do a number of CS meals, so this is much appreciated. It looks like most of the time you ate pretty well at the CS places! How did you like the Starboard Deck sandwich at Columbia Harbor House?

OK, these are all out of order now. I haven't the patience to get them sorted out in photobucket so that they'll make sense to me.

Here are some pictures of breakfast from the Main Street Bakery. This is a tradition for us. We pick up sweet rolls, fruit, and French toast loaf. Instead of eating in the very crowded dining area, we head towards the Castle, grabbing one of the tables on the right with the yellow and white umbrellas. Very few people bother to do this in the morning, so tables are always available. The view of the Castle is fantastic! However, the ducks can be a bit aggressive.

Breakfast from Pizzafari does NOT even begin to compare to the old breakfast at Tusker House. This was a disappointment at Christmas, but we thought we'd give it another chance. Still not very good.

The biscuits and gravy taste exactly like the ones at school which are made from a powdered mix. Yuck! Definitely NOT what we make at home.

The muffin was a little on the dry side but not terrible.

Kids' Penne Pasta with meatball (yes, in the singular) from POP food court. This was really good, but my oddball kids wouldn't touch it. Go figure!

Dh and I shared the Ham & Havarti Flatbread. I'm not sure if I liked this or not. It was rather odd tasting, as if Italian dressing and some salad had been dumped on top. Dh really enjoyed it.

We gobbled up our lunch at Flame Tree BBQ so quickly that I didn't get a good picture of the ribs. Needless to say, we enjoyed them, picking the bones clean! This was an especially fun meal, since we got to open the restaurant for the day. Sadly, I left our certificate on the Safari.

Here is a picture of my fruit plate. It was excellent. Way more than I could eat!

We spent our last evening in Epcot, snacking around the World.

Here is a picture of the potstickers from China. Very good.

Omelet from POP:

The omelet was pretty good, but the potatoes were absolutely gross! They were undercooked inside, and burned on the outside. Bleh!!

Some kind of nasty, greasy, spicy noodle bowl from Sunshine Seasons:

For some odd reason, my younger ds LOVES this dish and orders it at least once during each visit. The rest of us think it's disgusting!

Although there's no convenient seating, I love grabbing a quick meal from Boulangerie Patisserie.

Pictured is a Ham and Cheese Croissant. I prefer this heated, but dh forgot to ask.

The almond croissant also is very yummy! Of course, I love anything filled with almond paste.

I can't remember if I posted this already -- slushies during our week at POP.

The younger kids liked the blue, while the rest of us went for Coke.

It's very good and just a little bit different from the sandwiches at other CS restaurants.

Thank you! It looks pretty good. I'd been looking at menus at AllEars.net and thinking it sounded interesting, but I wasn't sure. I think we may have to try the Columbia Harbor House when we're there in a few weeks!

I like that there seems to be a wide variety of things to try, beyond just burgers and fries. Looks good.

Thanks for the report. I agree the flatbreads at Pop are great. Colombia Harbor House is our favorite MK CS, but Pinocchio village Haus is the only one we haven't tried. I planned to try it on our August trip, and your photos make we want to go there even more.
