Make it or Break it

I just saw a commercial for this show and it looks like it will be really good new one. I personally love anything Gymnastics (one of my favorite parts of the Olympics) so it will be pretty cool to see a different aspect of it. Has anyone else seen the commercials for it?

I hadn't seen anything about it, and then a friend (who has the same strange obsession with teen-type dramas that I do) notified me that we WILL be watching this show and talking about it all summer...LOL.
I'm looking forward to it!

It looks really good right? I am pretty excited about actually watching the show, based on the previews this might be my newest guilty pleasure! Also, did you see that Candace Cameron is going to be in this? I loved me some DJ Tanner on Full House so this could be pretty exciting. Oh yeah Roz from Fraiser is going to be on this one too!

With a child that is a competitive gymnast, I am not sure how realistic the showing going to be compared to real-life gymnastics, but it could make for a good drama show. I hope that they are capable with coming up with more than just a gymnast that needs to lose weight because you are actually starting to go through puberty and you are not a board anymore or a coach that reems the gymnast out all the time type stuff. There really is more to the sport than these 2 topics.

I mean many girls who are optional gymnasts are in the gym a minimum of 20 hrs a week. Some homeschool, but many juggle the life of a full time regular school kid and then gym after school 5 days a week. The real struggles of the sport come with do I really want give up part of my childhood social life to commit my time to being a gymnast? It's a fine line.

All of this being said, I will be watching it. I'm sure that my dd (12, will be 13 in Sept) will be watching and commenting on what is real and what isn't - technical stuff of course, which will have no bearing on the drama side of things.

Thanks for letting me know about some of the cast members too, some familiar faces....

carone0318, I agree these shows can't depict what an actual gymnast goes through with complete accuracy but at least we can get some form of their lifestyle in a fun Drama series. As far as schooling, I am kind of interested in how that will be depicted. I know this sport takes lots of time and dedication (as do most extracurricular activities) so a glimpse at how that piece is worked out will be cool.
I am also like you and your dd and I will be watching this one for sure. Regardless of if its accurate it looks like it will be a good drama that is different from what we are used to seeing.

Oh nice, I had heard about people doing those for the Secret life Premier! I am glad you like the preview I know the previews and clips I have seen look pretty good. Was the preview you saw different from the 10 min preview they have on the Facebook page? Premiere is this Monday!

I haven't seen the preview on facebook, but the one we watched seemed a lot longer than ten minutes. The secret life preview was really good too!

Ahhh Secret Life I am looking forward to that on Monday as well as Make it or Break it It will be a nice little block of TV!
As far as the Facebook preview it is 10 mins and is pretty good, you should check that one out for sure. I can't wait to hear what you think about it after Monday's premiere!

We'll be watching this show to see how it is. My DD's are in gymnastics, but not competitive. They love it for a physical activity and for possible cheerleading in the future.

Awww love that your kids on gymnastics! Did you all watch the show? I did and its really good, they certainly did a good job of pulling me in. You have to tell me what you think of it? did the girls like it?
