Our Columbus flight experienced landing gear issue...it was a nerve wracking 1 hour plus as we circled Ohio to rid fuel. We practiced the "brace" position, told how to use the slide. We were told to leave everything, ....well, in the end it was a safe landing.

My sister is not with us. I did call DVC and they have arranged for her to check in. She's coming from Newark. Our exchange is in Maui.

We were re routed through San Francisco, but it looks as if we will be spending the night in Denver, air traffic delays.

Winter travel has not been kind to us or our extended family. It took our son and grandchildren 2 nights to get home from my mom's funeral in January!

Awwww, hope it all gets better for you and the family, Bobbi. Sure glad it was a safe landing in Ohio!

Glad you had a safe landing! Hope the rest of the trip is nice and relaxing.

I'm glad you are all safe, sorry for the stress, worry and aggravation. Usually the best approach in this situation is to talk to the resort directly and see if they'll allow someone else to checkin without a guest certificate. If not, it can take some time to get through the system from DVC to RCI to the resort. In the future, I'd try to add the other person directly with the resort though I wouldn't pay for a guest certificate if I could help it. Enjoy your trip. Is this at KBC?

Glad you're okay. I can't imagine how stressful that must have been. I hope the rest of your trip is uneventful and relaxing.

Glad you made it Bobbi. I hate having all those problems.
Now relax and enjoy HI!

Yikes! You will need the relaxed Hawaii life to unwind. Hope the rest of the trip is absolutely perfect.

Wow, what an eventful day! I would be thinking this was it, YIKES! I too am glad you made it safely to Oahu. Hopefully you flight to Maui was uneventful and the resort is perfect. Aloha!

Great, thanks. That's the best RCI has to offer for Maui. Let me know what they've done with the kitchens, they were a little limited the last time we stayed there. If you can, Warren and Annabelle's is not to be missed though I'd likely skip their food.

There is a rather large Presto electric frying pan, that I used for lunch today, grilled cheese. Microwave, Dishwasher, coffee pot( cone filters), blender, toaster and lots of kitchen supplies like flatware. It's certainly enough for us.

Nice grilling area with picnic tables....Tom's turn to cook tonight.

I need to search Warren and Annabelle's, if you say not to be missed....we need to check it out, thanks!

Bobbi

By the way, my sister had no problem checking in. Alex at DVC did check with KBC to be sure the certificate was in her name.

If anyone likes koi ponds, this resort has many, beautiful ones, with bridges, waterfalls. I have a small goldfish pond in my Ohio backyard, I appreciate seeing the koi!

What a crazy experience. So glad you finally made it safe & sound. Aloha!
