looking to get a few mugs, towels, pins and magnets.

also for christmas decorations, what do disney have in terms of whats for sale

would really appreicate this, thanks heaps

For the biggest selections, check out World of Disney in DTD and the Emporium on Main Street. There is also a specialty shop in New Orleans Square that sells Christmas decorations- lots of great items!

I love the Emporium right on Main street. It is my favorite. They have everything Disney that you could want. Remember to shop earlier in the day - if you wait until evening the shops get REALLLLLY busy.

There is also a neat shop further down Main street by the silouhette shop. I believe they carry Christmas stuff too.

There is also a fun shop in Frontierland too so check it out - it is across from the shooting range.

The Gag Factory in ToonTown tends to have some cute stuff, too - sort of whimsical, wacky, but clever. They have the famous and popular Mr. Potato Head with Disney accessories, but also cute mugs and some magnets. China Closet on Main Street is good. If you go in November or December, you will find Christmas stuff everywhere. If you go in September-October, there is plenty of Halloween stuff. Disneyland used to populate a list of 80% of their merchandise with prices years ago, but they stopped that as far as I know. You know what you could do is call the mail order phone number for Disneyland DelivEars (1-800-362-4533) and ask them, first of all, if they could give you a list of any kind, but if not, just ask them - they LOVE to chat and give info 90% of the time - where you get the best mugs or the best magnets (those are both things I used to collect too) or the best towels. It may be that you can get better towels from one of the hotel shops than IN the actual parks. Anyway, Disneyland DelivEars loves to help and they get asked all kinds of stuff all the time, so I am sure they would be happy to point you in the right direction.

Oh, wait, I think I recall your post from earlier this week - you are from Australia and going to DL around the holidays, right? (Or is that someone else?) Oh, you will have no problem finding Christmas stuff, but I think calling Disneyland DelivEars is still a good idea if you can manage it.

Maybe this is old news, but just to clarify, when we were there in May, the Christmas shop in Frontierland next to the Shooting Range had turned into a shop dedicated to pins. Not sure if they have a year-round Christmas shop now. I don't remember seeing the one mentioned above in NOS.

I'm not to sure the name of the shop or anything but when I went in June, my mom and I popped our heads into a "christmas ornament" shop in NOS. They didn't have too, too much but they had a couple cute things.

I think I am mangling the spelling, but isn't it something like L'ornament Magique? I wish they had never gotten rid of the year-round Christmas shop in Fantasyland. I loved that it was there. Anyway, I think the OP is going during the holiday season, so there will be Christmas stuff everywhere. No shortage of things to buy!

Renderman - one thing that was really cute that I got at the Gag Factory in ToonTown last December was a magnet set of Mickey and Minnie 'gingerbread cookies.' It is a silver cookie sheet and I think there are 4 or 6 small 'cookies' on it. I love really clever magnets anyway, but this is one of my favorites. They also sold it at the China Closet on Main Street but sometimes they sell out faster because Main Street is where everyone shops and not everyone goes all the way back to ToonTown to get things. Keep that in mind, too - a certain thing you see and like might sell out in one store but there may be 100 of them in another store somewhere in the park or one of the hotels. Never give up on finding it! Anyway, they also sold 'cookie ornaments' - I got a great cookie castle ornament, a Mickey cookie ornament, etc. AND I got a REALLY cute mug/soup/chili bowl in the same gingerbread theme, and it came with a spatula and recipe cards!. One of my favorites. I do NOT know if they will sell these again this year. Disney is very crafty in making some things limited edition and sometimes you can never find them again. But just in case they do sell them again, you know what to look for specifically. Forgive the bad, fuzzy cell phone pictures and all the junk in them (I took them spur of the moment at a friend's place when we had no other digital camera handy and no proper 'backdrop' so we had to improvise):

Here is the Mickey cookie ornament (notice the pink candy cheeks):

And here is the soup/chili mug with the spatula on top (notice the peppermint candy in a Mickey shape on the left side and the gingerbread Mickey on the right):
