A friend of mine said he will come down to disney with his wife and two children to stay with us if those of us on this board can find him the best deal possible for a 4 night stay at one of the Disney Resorts, including air from the NYC area, arriving Wednesday night November 8th, leaving Sunday November 12th.

I told him this was the best board for info and that someone would come up with codes and discounts, I think they are AAA card holders.

Please, can someone put a package together for them?

Thanks.....

I'm no expert, but you might want to post this on the Budget Board-- they are really helpful, and there seem to be a lot of people who enjoy getting deals for people. Good luck!

Well, we'd need a few questions answered first. Do they care about what hotel they would be in? I mean, will they be ok with a value resort? Also, what airports are they closest to or would be willing to fly out of? I'm not from NY, so I'm not familiar with what airports would be feasible for them to fly out of. Would they need tickets? How old are the children? Thanks for the info! :goodvibes

At this point, the cheaper the better but the only thing they request is that it is in Disney. I know it is last minute and I am sure even if teh plane flew into Tampa they would do it.

I am exhausedted from researching and doing my own trip from months ago for 7 nights that I wouldn't know where to begin.

They want to fly Weds, 11/8 and return Sun, 11/12

If I were traveling I wouldnt want to leave the specifics up to total strangers. Are they really serious about going? If they have AAA all they need to do is call a travel agent or even without a travel agent would be happy to do the work. I know my TA office is great. If you want the number pm me and I will get it for you.

Hate to say this, but those dates pretty much coincide with "Jersey Week", the dates when all kids are off from school in New Jersey, and many go to Florida. The air fares from the NJ/NY area got to be SKY high for those dates, or just plain sold out completely for many, many months now. And to top it off, that weekend at Disney is VERY busy with the three day holiday from Veteran's Day, too. A budget trip may be an unreasonable expectation at this point, even if it can be booked. Probably not impossible, but expect to pay top dollar for the flights and probably no room discounts to be found at this point. Sorry to be a downer here - good luck on this!

A friend of mine just got $59 tickets on SWA for that weekend if you are needing air.

Well, we booked as soon as Disney would allow it, almost a year ago so we are personally set and we saved more then half by flying to Ft. Myers Airport to spend time with the in-laws, then take a 3 + hour ride Sat the 4th up to Disney.

Another good thing is the Jersey Teacher Convention is on the 9th and 10th with soap weeknd being the 11th and 12th and we check out the 11th. So, we will be able to get 5-6 good days in all the parks, then maybe that Friday the 10th we will hit Universal and then before we head home on Sat, we will hit a park with the least crowds........Which would be?

It was a system wide sale, but her tickets are from Nashville. $59 each way.

Agree with HugsForEeyore........

NYC area airline fares are ridiculously priced unless you booked a year out. I personally looked into airfares for this exact period months ago....and I found unusually high airfares from EVERY area airport. Now that their dates are so close....I shudder to think what the fares are now.

I tried AAVacations(my personal favorite) :cool1: and it came back saying that none of the resorts were available for 4 nights starting November 8. Check it out, perhaps you might have better luck. :thumbsup2

NYC/Long Island airports are: JFK (Queens), Laguardia (Queens) and Islip/MaCarthur (Long Island). Don't know what airlines have non-stop flights to MCO from JFK or Laguardia. But SouthWest has one from Islip.

Bought our tickets from SW via the internet at a price of $99 each way flying out of Islip. SW has a program called DINGS where the price goes down to certain destinations. Check out the Transporation board for more info. I think there is something to download in order to use it. Not sure though.

Value resorts are a great value if they are looking at not spending a lot of money or on a certain budget. I believe they are still $99/night during that time.

Well, according to the WDW website, all of the AS resorts are available for those dates for a total of $402.32. This is on the Disney website under "Special Offers" and "Spectacular Savings."

As for airfare, SWA has fares for $89-99 each way, but no flights are available going back on November 12. There are flights available from Long Island to Tampa and back for those dates, but the only flight back leaves at 7:20a.m. on Sunday.

Checking Travelocity, it looks like the lowest rates are $194 roundtrip on AirTran airlines.

Have a great trip!
