What does he do? Surely he does more than just carry your rings? Has any one else had him at their wedding?

The Major Domo acts as an MC for the event. He helps direct people after the ceremony and announces the bridal party at the reception. This can be helpful if you don't have a DJ but still want to make a grand entrance.

We had him for our wedding and it was fabulous. He was SO much fun.

He brought the rings in and then stood with the rest of the wedding party and processed out with us. While we were getting ready for our staged exit to the carriage he organized everyone and handed out bubbles. He got them all jazzed and after watching the video we learned he also told our guests they needed to "increase their bubble production."

He was watching as we were coming over the bridge from the WP and got everyone cheering (while still blowing bubbles) and helped me into the carriage with the footmen.

We had our reception at the Whitehall Room, so he announced when it was time for everyone to come in from the pre-reception on the patio into the room. He then announced us into the reception.

All in all, he was very, very fun. My DH and I had a brief moment to speak to him while we were waiting for him to go in and announce us and I thought he was fantastic.

That sounds awesome! Worth every penny for the peace of mind that the best man wont lose the rings haha. Think we will add him onto the BEO, thanks both!

Major Domo is $675 I believe. I had him for my wedding, and he was awesome. My guests enjoyed him a lot. He made sure to give them instructions on tossing the petals for our staged exit... he also did all the other things that were discussed (told guests where to go after the ceremony, acted as master of ceremony, introduced us into the room, etc.). He was a last minute add for us, but we were glad that we did it.
