I have to do some major deep cleaning in our bathroom and have the following issues that I need help with:

1 - shower - what is the latest and greatest thing to use to get rid of the build up and yucky brown build up between the tiles and on floor?
2 - BIGGEST one - I have greatly abused using hairspray in my bathroom so I have hairspray build up on all the surfaces, but also the walls, outside door of shower stall, picture frames, and blinds - how can I get it off? Note that the blinds do not come down.

Thanks - Diane:thumbsup2

I use Kaboom! in my showers. I spray and open the windows because it is strong. I leave it on and then rinse and then spray with some bleach/mildew remover and leave it for a bit then rinse and wipe down.

For the walls and fixtures, I would use the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. They have the tough thick ones that don't tear as easy as the originals. I used several to scrub a nasty bathroom once and gross bedroom(not mine!) and they worked wonders!

To clean the grout on the floor: spray a degreaser like 409 on the grout. You can work it in with a scrub brush. Then, pour hydrogen peroxide over the grout. Work it in with the brush. Let it sit for several minutes or longer, depending on how dirty the grout is. When you return, scrub the grout with the brush one more time. You can mop the floor after this.

We have almond colored grout in our bathroom floor and I do this deep cleaning once in a while. I just did it last week after I painted the bathroom. The grout looks brand new!:thumbsup2

I have no advice on the hair spray problem. It sounds like a time and labor intensive task. Good luck!

One thing I do for grout is use soft scrub with bleach. I pour it on and then spread it out. Don't use a towel that you want saved. I use the old ones that I don't care to get bleach spots.

I just love my Black & Decker Scumbuster for any kind of tub or tile trouble, use it with some Comet and nothing can stand up to it. For everything else Iam a huge fan of Fantastic, just spray it until saturated, let it sit a few minutes and then everything just melts off.

For that hairspray build-up I'd go to Sally's and buy a product made just for that called "Dissolve". Works great!!!!!!!

I have used toilet bowl cleaner with bleach, along with Kaboom on the bottom surface of the tub, let it sit and it works great.

Good old rubbing alcohol works great on harispray.
