Hi everyone! I can't believe it has been over a year and a half since my last visit!

Life was very, very busy during that time. I got married, moved, started a new job, etc. etc. etc.

I haven't even had time to come on here much, I feel so out of the loop!

Can someone give me the run-down of whats gone on since 2012?

I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance :goodvibes

Someone else might be better at condensing all the changes that have taken place over the last (almost) two years. My suggestion is to read up on Fast Pass Plus and Magic Bands. It's a huge change.

The first big change is that your platform for planning and executing your plans is based from your My Disney Experience account. If you already have a disney account and login, then all you need to do is log in to that and you will see the My Disney Experience (or MDE) section to select for a drop-down list of options at the top right of the page

If you don't have one, you may as well set one up in the meantime.

Fastpass has changed. Guests can now book FP's in advance. At the moment it is just for onsite guests, but offsite is going into testing now so that should all be up in running at some point too. The current window opens 60 days out from check in and you need to follow the steps to link your ticket to your account.

If you are onsite, KTTW cards are now issued in the form of 'Magic Bands'. Pretty much work the same way.

The PP is right. You want to read up about FP+ and try get your head around it first. The system as it stands allows 3 per person per day and includes attractions which formerly did not have a FP option. Epcot and HS are tiered so you can only choose one headliner from each of those parks.

You can park hop but you can only choose your FP selections for one park per day. You cannot mix and match, but you are free to ride standby or just visit any number of parks in a day if you have hopping on your ticket.

That should get you started and keep you busy for a few months :goodvibes

Thanks for the infomation. I am going through the same "catch-up" trying to get up to speed for my families trip in September.

I dont want to "hijack" the thread, but what changes, new rides, rides they have taken away etc. etc, since 2010 its been a while since we have been :)

Thank you everyone who posted information!

Whew, this sounds a little confusing! The fast pass in advance sounds really confusing, and will make planning even more stressful?

I guess I need to do a lot of reading on this!

Thanks again!

I wanted to add that instead of one of us trying to recap all of the changes, it's probably easier to answer your specific questions after doing some reading on this. You'll most likely have a lot of questions. :)
