Maintenance Fees

We are in the process of buying points. I know fees are paid by everyone in January (no matter what your month is), but are these for the current year (2001) or really paid in arrears? My next question is what did someone pay for fees in January, 2001 (per point) for OKW?

Annual dues are due in Jan of each year for that calendar year (thus they are prepaid). However, you can set it up to pay monthly throughout the year with automatic withdrawal from your checking account. I believe OKW was somewhere in the $3.18 per point range this year but OKW owner can better answer;BWV was $3.83. Dues have averaged about a 2% increase per year although they actually went down this year.

Here's the 2001 dues schedule
OKW = $3.13
BWV = $3.83
HH = $3.32
Vero= $3.97
VWL = $3.63

As drusba said, the dues are pre-paying 2001 expenses based on the budget. When the actual bill comes they adjust for property tax paid vs. the actual property tax and deduct (or add, although that hasn't happened yet) to the total bill.
