So I have a question...

When you transfer points from someone else's account into yours, do you pay the mtc. fees?

TIA!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong (and I know that you will:lmao:) but since a transfer isn't a permanent ownership change, I think the owner is still on the hook for the MFs...:goodvibes

This is correct. I just had some points transfered to me and I did not pay any MFs on them.

Member Services will not even allow the points to be transferred unless both member's accounts are in what they refer to as "good standing" with all MFs paid up to date and any other $ owed up to date (ie loan payment). The $ obligations of the owner of the points to be transferred would not become your responsibility.

Hope this helped some too :goodvibes

And if you read the Public Offering Statement, there is not supposed to be any compensation for a transfer.

Hey Deb, I'm not an owner yet, so forgive me if this is a silly question. But does that mean that paying for a transfer of points is illegal?

Technically, yes. But lots of members do it for compensation.
