I ordered the Disney magic of Christmas DVD from mainstreetmegastore.com on Sept 5th. Kept waiting and no package. Kept checking order status and over three weeks ago it said sorry for the delay order will ship in 2-6 business days. Now when I check it just says order received. I have emailed them on three different occasions and have yet to hear a response. The kicker is, we took a long weekend trip to WDW 2 weeks ago and I saw this DVD in the Days of Christmas store at Downtown Disney. Guess I should've just bought it there since I have a bad feeling my money is gone! From now on I know to contact disney merchandise and get the stuff directly from them without the markup. Just a warning to others.

i would contact my credit card company....

Definitely call your credit card company right away. The sooner the better. This happened to me (but not with this store) and what they did was credit my account back.

Have you ever noticed how expensive their stuff is?? I was looking for ideas the other day and saw a Disney Princess bank I bought Remy at MK in July for 14.00 marked 24.99! That's 10.00 extra $$!! I saw alot of other things marked really high too (10 or more than at the actual parks)! I have read so many bad things about them I wouldn't purchase anything from there; I would much rather call WDW's merchandising dept that orders items directly from the park!!

Similar thing happened to me. I got tired of waiting and not getting any response. I finally sent an e-mail telling them to cancel my order and do not charge my credit card. Amazingly I recieved an e-mail the next day that my order was shipped. 3 days later they still didnt respond to my e-mail. Once I received it I returned it and they did credit my Credit card back.

I had heard that is a family that will let orders build up and then they purchase the items the next time they happen to visit Disney World. Bad customer service!

I ordered pins from them in the Spring. My experience was similar. They never came in time for our July trip. The company did not respond to repeated emails.

When the pins finally came, they were the Sedesma (sp?) type. I didn't realize this would be a problem until cast members in Epcot refused to trade for them. I specifically ask before I ordered whether these were official pins that could be traded. I notice now that their website says that they sell no foreign pins. Don't know how I got so lucky.

I've emailed them numerous times with no response. I finally mailed them a letter. Hope they respond soon.

I've always had a "not so fuzzy warm" feeling about this company. First of all, they are located in Massachusetts and not in Florida. Secondly, their prices are very inflated. I think you're not only paying for the product, but the cost of the airline ticket to go down and pick it up.

They were very easy to find on the Better Business website. If anyone wants to follow this link, it will give you more information. They are rated as satisfactory, but my guess is that not many people have lodged their complaints. Here's the link, BBB

Same thing happened to me HoosierFantasia. They confirmed my order then I never received it. They wouldn't respond to emails. Finally they said it was backordered. I said to cancel. They responded by saying that they had just shipped. I returned the package and they credited my account for the items and shipping cost.
I will never order from them again.
I found a guy on ebay. He will get what you want and set up a "reasonably" priced auction.

OMG!!! Exactly the same thing with me! I ordered 2 Magic of Disney at Christmas and 2 autograph books.. (all were to be Christmas Gifts).. I Have gotten nothing and no responses to any of my email...

I plan to contact my credit card company today!

Is there anything else we can do? Contact the better business bureau? I am seriously considering launching a complaint!

Please try the Internet Fraud Complaint center. The FBI has teamed up with the National White Collar Crime Center to help put a stop to internet fraud. It is amazing how quickly you get results just by mentioning the FBI.I have threatened to file with the IFCCFBI twice now (both times against crooked ebay sellers) and have gotten amazing results.

I agree with Kimmie, try to contact Internet Fraud and FOR SURE call your credit card company. Sorry to hear what has happened to so many of you!

I appreciate the warning. I'll be sure to stay away from this 'company'. How can people sleep at night operating like this...shameful.

A similar thing happened to me last year. I ordered the Christmas DVD and weeks went by. I emailed them and they told me they were busy. A couple of weeks later I received a package from them and the DVD was not in it. Instead they sent me two VHS tapes about Disney crafts and Disney decorations. In the package was a letter explaining how they were out of the DVD so they sent the tapes instead. The letter said if I wanted to send them back I could, but I didn't want to go though the hassle so I kept them. I don't plan on ordering anything from them again and besides they are overpriced. I'll just wait until we go to WDW.

I just wanted everyone to know i have initiated a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. See the post in Disney Tips...

The beauty of ordering things online with your credit card is, if the company you're dealing with doesn't give you what you paid for, you simply call up your credit card company and dispute the charge. You will get your money back 100% of the time (at least, I've never heard of it not working; without a physical signature, the company has no recourse), and the company will be stuck with a charge-back fee.

If the company is toying around with you, it's a great way to say "thanks!" ;)
