Maingate passes and FP+?

We have the opportunity to visit the parks thanks to a friend of a friend who is a retired CM. We'd have two guest passes from her and then she would let two of us in the park as guests on her Maingate pass. My question is how would FP+ work for the Maingate passes? We haven't used Maingate admissions since before the days of FP+ and I'm not sure how it works now. Friend will not be staying all day in the parks with us. Will we get a physical ticket be able to make same day FP+ reservations? Or will we just have to rely on standby times? Will we be able to hop still? We'll be going over thanksgiving week, is there a chance the parks will be blacked out to CM guest admissions at this time? Which park would you pick for doing same day FP+ only? MK or Epcot? Thanks for any CM help!

The CM has to book the FPs from her MDE account.

If she gives you the login info, you can then access them to book FPs but even if you link her MDE to yours, you cannot access them via your login info.

Only the CM can access the Guest Passes and she has to book FPs for the correct Guest Passes.

What about booking 4th and beyond FPs in the parks? Would we be able to do this or only if we had the CM's login?

If the CM allows you to keep the plastic Guest Passes with you, you can add on 4th FP etc. from the kiosk.

If you aren't immediate family, you aren't supposed to park hop if the CM isn't with you.

I am not sure about Thanksgiving week, but we were with a CM last year between Christmas and New Year's (specifically 12/30) and not only could she not get us in on her guest passes, she couldn't use her CM status to get in, we had to buy her a ticket.

When CM MainGates and Guest Passes are blocked out, the only thing that works is a CM Comp ticket which can be used by anyone.

You can google CM blockout dates for WDW to check your dates.

November block out dates not up yet. Expect some dates to be blocked, for some parks. CM must stay with you all day, unless a very close relative. I have never tried to get same day additional FP at a kiosk with the guest passes. The CM could do it on the app. Have fun!

CMs normally cannot make FP+ until 7 days in advance, for only 4 days at a time. (60 days if they have a resort hotel room of course, still 4 days at a time).
