I saw the other state roll calls so I thought it would be fun to see who was in Maine and where they were. :D

I am a Mainer born and bred, currently I live in South Portland. :D

I was born and raised in CT, went to school in AZ and ND (my god, what was I thinking there?), and I also lived for a while in.....drum roll.......MAINE! I lived in The Old Port, and Old Orchard Beach. The Old Port was great. I lived on Exchange street above Yankee Candle....what a party that was living there!

Oh ya, that's sort of how I met my wife. She was going to The University of New England (now graduated) in Biddeford.

Another born and bred Mainer here, currently living in Durham.

:p Sharon

I am glad you started this thread - I have only seen a few other people from Maine on here. We (DH, myself and 10 yr. old DD) are from Gorham. The last I knew there were only 200 DVC members in Maine. I only know 3 other families. I love this state but I am very glad that we will be at the BCV in 2 weeks! It has been a very long winter !!

Hey, I live in South Portland too. I am not a DVC owner, but I am always lurking on these boards and plan to rent points for my honeymoon next year. And you're right, it has been a very long winter.

We're Mainers!!!

DH and I live on the west edge of Maine, in Brownfield. If you don't know where that is, you're not alone... "Tiny" is an understatement.

DH spends a lot of time on the coast - Rockland area - in the winter, where he works as a sea urchin diver.

Good to see other Mainers on the board! We actually had to plan an "emergency" trip to Disney for next month because I couldn't take this winter weather anymore! There's still snow all over our yard...

Three weeks to OKW!

Daisy ;)

Hello fellow Mainers. Portland, checking in.

We've lived in Portland since 1985 and our home away from home is OKW. We purchased at OKW in 1995 and somehow manage to spend more time there every year. We're off once again, leaving tomorrow for 8 nights in a 1 bedroom at our favorite resort...OKW.

tomi and bliss4us. Travel safe and have a great time on your upcoming vacation.

athyng. I might be able to help you with a points rental as we currently have more points than we can use. Feel free to email me at DBBN@aol.com if you like. I'll respond to any message you might leave when we get back.

Tomi -

We are also from Gorham. Myself, DW, DD(7) and DS(5). We have been memebers for about three years. Looking forward to a June trip with no kids.....

Come on -there have to be more Mainers out there!

jjfjr - I wonder how many DVC families there are from Gorham. By the way, we live off Dingley Spring Rd. How did you manage to plan a trip with no kids? My daughter would have our heads!

We once saw DVC licence plate up in Hiram when we went up to pick apples. It was odd seeing it in the middle of basically no where and my whole family getting very excited about it. :D

Another Mainer here. We live in Saco. Been members for almost a year and as Maxwell Smart would say, "and loving it"

My family recently moved from southern NH back to our home town of Caribou. It has been an extremely long winter here, with snow still on the ground as I post this message. We have a much needed trip coming in 2 weeks and can’t wait to see Mickey. Glad to know there are other Mainers who enjoy Disney and DVC as much as we do.

Bubbleboy - Caribou, wow! You must really need this trip! It sounds like we will be there the same time. We will be at the BCV from 5/3 to 5/10. Maybe we'll see you.

Tomi -

We are praticaly neighbors. We live off Farrington Road. The kids have been great about our trip because they know we will be taking them in December and they get to spend a few days with thier Grandparents. Great for me and DW.

DH and I both graduated from CHS! I was born in Caribou and raised in Woodland. DH moved to Caribou when he was three. We fled those long, hard winters 20+ years ago, but both of us still have family and friends scattered about "the County" and make the trek North 2 or 3 trips a year.

Small world, isn't it! :teeth:

Hope your snow melts soon!

We bought in 2000, OKW, have spent 3 great trips there so far got to add an extra day in dec. at BCV due to an ice storm in the north the day we were to return! How disappointing to have to spend the day at SAB instead of shoveling snow in Sedgwick!!!
