Main Street Vehicles after EMM

We're doing EMM at the Magic Kingdom in a couple weeks. We usually don't rope drop MK (love those evening EMH!!), so we're not used to being in the park early in the day. My kids have never been on any of the Main Street vehicles, and since we'll be in the park early, it seems like a great chance to try and ride the carriage or trolly or something.

Are those rides still available? And if so, does anyone have suggestions for the best way to get a ride after the park opens to regular guests? I'm assuming that the vehicles won't be in operation during EMM, and probably not before regular opening time, but I haven't ridden one of those old timey vehicles since I was little, and I don't know where or when we should try to line up and catch a ride down Main Street.

They still do em. We did this early morn last week.
As you enter the MK, go through the left entrance and as you pass the first popcorn stand, stop on the pavement. That is where the car will pick/drop. They stop just before the castle for a drop, or you can ride through.
Currently, some of the drivers are "re-commisioned" from the staff of the railroad. One of our drivers was a train engineer and another was a train driver. Not only did they have some TERRIFIC stories to tell, they know a LOT about the history and will answer any question they can. One of the drivers was Justin and an absolute fun driver. I don't remember the other driver's name, but was an older gentleman and awesome too.

Awesome - thanks! Any idea what time they get started? Is there typically a long wait?

I can't wait to take a drive down memory lane!

I don't think there is ever a huge wait. On a regular day they are usually there right at opening, not sure about EMH

I believe Main Street Vehicles are usually (key word) out through around 10:15am'ish. My perception of their schedule is that it can be a bit variable - they are usually out, but sometimes might not be.

Not applicable to you since you'll be at EMM, but Main Street Vehicles are also often out 8am+ on a 9am opening, during that time when Main Street / the Hub is open an hour before park opening.

Yes, I have a friend who works as a train engineer and also main street vehicle driver. They come out at 8am and drive until around 10:00am depending on crowds, if the crowds are lighter than usual they might extend but most of the time it's just until 10:00am

Do the FP photographers make a point to photograph folks riding in the vehicles? Otherwise I’ll have to run alongside and photograph my family while they get to ride!! LOL

Right now the scheduled time is 9 to 10:30 and 8am on EMH mornings. It's all on MDE.
