Main Street Transportation - What Happened???

Since I am new to the Dis Forums (which I LOVE, btw), forgive this post if it has previously been discussed ... When we visited MK in January, 2003, just after the new year, I was surprised to see that there were none of the usual transportation vehicles running on Main Street - no fire truck, no trolley - and they didn't run for the entire 8 days we were there. Actually the trolley came out several times a day and stopped in certain places on Main Street where the only occupants, a singing/dancing group, performed their routine. It was entertaining but no one else could ride. Does anyone know if the Main Street transportation is being used anymore?

I saw the horse drawn trolley being used on Main Street in June, 2003.

Hey! Never fear, we rode the trolley in May and saw them all the time during our stay! Thank goodness - wouldn't be Main Street without them!!

Thanks for the info - I was worried because WDW seemed to have developed such a great schedule of shows from the trolley. You are right ... it just isn't the same without them!

Not to worry. If I did this right, the pic was taken in April of this year.

I agree too, that the park would be lacking if they stopped sending the cool old trucks and trolleys down the main street!
