Sorry this may sound like a silly question but I have not yet been to DL and was just wondering! At DLP and WDW the shops on Main Street are connected so it is possible to walk the whole length of Main Street by walking through the shops. Is this the case at DL? The reason I am asking is that I was thinking if we could watch the 2nd parade from the top of Main Street (on our arrival day) the parade would pass us 1st. Could we then use the shops to walk down Main Street so we could get in line for some more rides before the parade has ended? If so are the shops only connected one side of Main Street or both? Would it be possible to get to Fantasy Land as soon as we have seen the parade and before the rest of the parade crowd gets there?

You can't walk the entire length of Main Street within the stores. One side has the Emporium, which covers most of the street, but there is a restaurant that will stop you from continuing. The other side has the same problem - there is a theater and other things that will stop you. Your best bet is to just walk on the sidewalk. CM's will be there to keep traffic moving, behind the parade watchers, during the parade.

Not the entire length, but a good amount. Saves a lot of time when entering/exiting the park during parades/fireworks.

I have done it...i had some trouble getting through the glass shop quickly with my two kids in tow (worried they would knock into something) but it really helped timewise
