Main Street Electrical Parade

Just curious, does anyone else miss the Main Street Electrical Parade as much as I do? I still listen to the music on CD from time to time. It was such a wonderful parade and great memory from my childhood. I like the new one at WDW, I just wish my kids could see the old one, esp since they know the music well. (thanks to mommy)

Absolutely!! DH and I were just talking about it last night. It was one of my favorite moments at WDW! I have yet to see SpectroMagic but am hoping it will bring those feelings back a little bit!

I miss it tremendously. I remember the music vividly. I recognized the tune when I saw the parade on youtube. It brought back a lot of memories.

One of my favorites also. I get to see it when I go to Disneyland California. They have it every night during the summer and on Friday nights during the off season. The music just brings me back to childhood. I bought the cd and added it to my mp3 player so I walk to it every morning.

Brings back alot of Memories from childhoood. I'm so glad Disneyland brought it back to California Adventure. Not the same but at least we still get to visit the past.

Best parade they ever had, really hated to see it go. No matter where you were in the park, when those first opening bars of music started, goose bumps would run through me. Both of our children, now married, did the high school march in the old parade, so when we hear the old music it brings back the memories. As for our 2 children, hearing a tape of the old parade brings extra special memories, especially being back stage and being a part of the parade.

Wish they would bring back the music on certain days, our daughter and son both had the broque played as they walked down the aisle when they were married. Heart wrenching, oh the memories. But they are added to every year, this September will be our 39th trips to WDW, usually daughter and SIL meet us there but due to DD having to go to Germany for work and SIL asked to go along, their vacation time is limited so its just the little wife and me this trip but we plan on going on many more vacations together in the near future, plus we all enjoy the Disney cruises too.

pepe of ohio, you expressed the way I feel! the opening bars of that music sends chills! I have played the music many times for my grandchildren, both of whom have never seen the actual parade. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they would bring it back for old time's sake?

I have never seen the electical parade, but I bet I would have enjoyed it. I love the spectromagic parade, it one of my favorites at WDW.
