Having a little debate with friends and family about when the Electrical Parade ended its DL run... :smickey:

Wikipedia has it ending in 1996 and I would've been two and would obviously not remember. I remember watching at DCA! I am thinking of something totally different or did they bring it back for the 50th?

EDIT: DCL --> DCA - finals on the brain! ;)

IIRC, they had it at the 50th, but it may have run at DCA.

If you scroll a little further down on the Wikipedia page, you'll see that it was presented in DCA from 2001 through 2010 (after that it was shipped to MK). I suppose...now to the debate...it depends on whether your family is debating the Main Street Electrical Parade or just any version of the Electrical Parade. It changed names to Disney's Electrical Parade for DCA (because there is no Main Street), but when back to Main Street Electrical Parade when it went to the Magic Kingdom.

The regular run of MSEP ended in October, 1996. That was briefly followed by a couple weeks of "encore performances", before it "glowed away". The parade returned to DCA as "Disney's Electrical Parade" in an attempt to bring crowds into the new park.

Although the MK version is called "Main Street Electrical Parade", the drum float still shows "Disney's Electrical Parade". I've seen the parade at DL, DCA and MK.

Thanks for all the info everyone! :tinker:

My family definitely remembers it being on Main St. but my memories of it were in the front of DCA!
