Main Street Electrical Parade and FP+ - Any recent reviews?

When FP+ for the MSEP was first announced last summer/early fall, I read several positive reviews. People reported a great viewing location and small crowds.

But as more & more people found out about this option, I read mixed reviews about it being awful. Some even speculated that there would probably come a time, especially in slower times of the year, where 'regular' viewing would be less crowded than FP+ viewing.

Does anyone have any recent experiences/reports about FP+ for MSEP? I'd be interested in hearing your feedback.

We will be going in a few weeks (low crowds) and there will be a 7PM MSEP, 8PM WISHES, and then a second MSEP at 9PM.

We were thinking about catching the 8PM Wishes and then getting FP+ for the 9PM (second of the night) MSEP.

Any thoughts?

I would definitely not use a precious FP+ for the SECOND performance of MSEP. It is never busy.
A great spot to watch is in front of Hall of Presidents.
