I hear you need to get there early to get a "do". We have never even step foot in there! My Daughter and I are going on a 2 day trip Monday and I thought it would be fun to get some sparkles or something fun (shes 14). Is this pricey?
I did a search but nothing turned up.

From what I have read on these boards, the cost is under $20. I can't remember what it is exactly but I did read about that here and was surprised that some spend so much at BBB when this is available.

I think it is about $15 at the barbershop, my son always gets a haircut and gel/glitter. I've seen girls just get their hair put into a pony with some gel/glitter. I don't know what that cost, I think the same and I think you have to bring your own pony holders. It's not as fancy as the BBB updos, but it is fun. The only downside is unlike BBB where you have an appointment you may have to wait quite a while at the barbershop. They are open from 9 to 5 usually, and it is first come first serve. You have to stand and wait in line, they will not take names to hold a place. (Last time we were there a mom tried to get the barbers to do this and they would not.)

On our next trip we are taking my son to BBB at 8:05 (before park opening) for a cool dude (gel/glitter) only $8 (no haircut). We'll see if my teen is man enough for the BBB (my DS's are getting their hair done also).

Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. No appointments -- walk-ins only.

Cost for a haircut is $17 for adults and $14 for children 12 and under. Colored hair gel, $5. Beard and mustache trims are $10.

I do not remember the fee but I do remember how much fun it was! My DGD got her hair in a "do" on her first visit, she looked so cute. We waited about an hour or so but it was not bad. The kids were all having fun so the time passed quickly.
