We had my DS6 hair cut there last May and it was GREAT! They do an excellent job, it's a cheap price AND, best of all, they put colored hair gel and pixie dust (sparkly confetti) in at no extra charge! The gel stayed with him for 2 days until DS gave us the okay to wash his hair. We went first thing and there was no line. I think they have 2 or 3 chairs going at the same time.
I have only seen Green, red and blue gel. As far as getting the gel without the haircut, I am not sure if NO one gets a haircut, but I have seen it where the boy gets a haircut and they gel the girls hair (so she doesn't feel left out).
2 years ago 2 of my boys & my little DD got their haircut there. It was the highlight of the trip!!
My DD then only 4 got just her bangs trimed & they did have pink gel for her, and pixie dust & they put in a little braid even.
Very nice people work there! My kids felt soooo special, everyone asked where they had gotten it done.
We even ran into Peter Pan & Wendy, and Peter made a big deal out of "looking" for Tinkerbell...saying she must be around as the kids had her pixiedust all over them! Special moment!!
My DH was traveling 3 days later with our older 3 kids & the little ones reused to wash their hair until Dad got to see it!!
Thanks for all the info.
We're going to be in MK for her birthday. We're going to get the BD button, eat with Cinderella, watch (hopefully participate in) a parade & I got her a "Birthday Girl" tiara. (I'm soooo excited!) I was thinking about going to the barber shop as well. I think she would really like it, but I'm terrified about getting a bad cut.
For what it's worth... She decided she wanted shoulder-lenth hair about 8 months ago & the girl just butchered her hair. Then we tried to get a Dorothy Hamill cut to salvage what she had left. NOBODY could do it! Either they were too young to remember Dorothy (Boy that made me feel old.) or they just hadn't done one in so long that they had forgotten how. She wound up looking like a little boy. (Seriously, people who didn't know her kept saying "him"-- even with her pink fuzzy coat!) Anyway... her hair is finally starting to look nice (& girlish) again & I'm scared to take the chance.
Have any of you gotten a little girl's hair cut--other than just trimming bangs? (still trying to grow out "boy bangs")
OOOooooo... Maybe I can get her dad to get his hair cut!
