Main reason why I rarely play VMK

the person who did that to you was never banned. I have seen them from time to time on number one room with their quest, also they have all the pins from through out the year so maybe it was someone else besides who you think?

If this type of thing is allowed, everyone who's name can be cloned by using other letters is at risk.

I was very lucky to get the first variation of my VMK title. I initially chose "Tampa" and they accepted it for about a week and then requested a change. Alterations to these two screen names are obvious.

Since around the time our virtual splash mountain was built, I've seen every other variation of the word arise.. like ranchdressing.. ranchtoo.. ranchfriend.. I've seen quite a few. It never bothered me as again, very hard to duplicate.

My tip for newbie players is don't use "i" or "o" in a screen name, L and zero (zero's not a factor in vmk) substitute them just fine and can basically duplicate you.

Hope it's all just vmk drama Kelsie girl and not a huge deal.

I remember reading about this when it first happened... don't think I ever read the part though that VMK asked you to not talk about details. That, I find, rather absurd, unless I'm misunderstanding something. You did nothing wrong, and yet the deal was they'd punish the offender but you can't explain what happened as best as you can? I must have missed that part of the Rules and/or Values. People like that should be banned, permanently, on all characters from that IP address and all characters period, if they can figure that out. While it'd be a shame if they had innocent family members who played, that's bad enough behavior that they should be kicked out of the game permanently. I know IPs can be changed, but the player's original character should have been given the boot permanently as well. Ridiculous!

I am not happy that VMK decided to let the person who impersonated me return to VMK. I won't name names but I saw them in the game.

This person intentionally used a variation of my name to create problems in VMK and on the DIS. They were angry at me because they chose not to follow the rules here and retaliated. I'm shocked they would let them back and not let a poor innocent kid who makes a mistake by giving out some personal information back.

I'm very disappointed! VMK was VERY aware who they were and what they were doing. I held up my end of the deal, I didn’t release any information about this to the public, I just wish VMK had done the same.

Wow I just can not believe that wait a minute yup I can. I do not understand why they do not have the person change there name. I have had to change one of my mules because I guess it was too close to another. I had Canadianeh. Was accepted but then had to change it.
I feel that you worked with them and they slammed you good. Great customer service is not there fortay.

I too have gone from being very addictive playing all my time I could find on VMK and trying to get all my friends to join. Disappointment after disappointment how they have treat many players including myself has me playing very little now. And not saying anything to anyone. For I would not recommend something that cause more hurt than the fun it provides. Now P play like a fast video game. And will never try to earn anything. I have played since day one and most of my time I am disgusted by this so called kids game that is too hard to the age range anyways.

But I heart all my friends I have made so I continue to stop in and say hey

So what do they lose. Lots!! I went to WDW twice in one year instead of my normal 18 months, Bought lots of stuff which my hubby likes to remind me each time the credit cards come in. All because I had to get the VMK prizes.

Not anymore and I am sure there are many of us out there. Whoopie one less player but in the end too many losses means loss in revenue. 100 players they loose could mean 100,000 in revenue lost or more. Now that means something I think.

some people can possibly realize that they can give out a fake identidy (not really sure how to spell that sorry ). i have never done that before, but a few times after talking with one of my friends who play on VMK and said she has numerous characters, i came to thinking of that idea.

PLEASE NOTE: SUPERYAVNCHICKENSANDWITCH IS NOT THE PERSONS REAL NAME. I'M JUST USUING IT TO MAKE IT SOUND MORE REAL...
One day, we all logged on to VMK. Kelsie was one of these. Her name was DisKelco on VMK. She did her usual stuff. Then she got a nasty pm from <SuperYavnChickenSandwitch> saying he crated a mule with the same name as DisKelco. She posted a thread about it. Man. <SuperYavnChickenSandwitch> was stupid. So she advised us to report it when ever we saw it. At this time we figured out how they got the name. VMK runs on Arial Narrow font, which causes Dis KeIco to look like this: DisKeIco. So we all started making mules to protect our accounts from stuff like this. We all made over 10 name combinations.
So <SuperYavnChickenSandwitch> went and did it's doings. Going to places owned by Dis people it knew. It asked for free stuff or a ban. And we had figured it out and booted him everytime after we reported it. It's still roams this day.... Out to terrorize us. No, out to be a terrorist!!! RUN!!!! @_@

I can certainly understand how you feel, the same thing has happened to me. For at least 8 months now I have been harrassed by several players on vmk. I've written vmk but nothing has been done. Several times these ppl came in my room looking exactly like me with a very close match to my title. They go around public areas and my friends saying hurtful things. They come in my room I boot, they come after me in public areas I ignore.

Monday nite was the last run in with these trade boys. They found us on the pirate dock started saying extremely adult things which I will not repeat here. Some were about Yavn. The worst part there was a CL standing right there listening and did nothing.

So I know how you feel. Its frustrating to the max the things that ppl can get away with this on vmk. And all for the sake of hurting others. How Disney-like is this?
