Main dining room - what do your wear (women)?

A nice blouse and black slacks or at times, black jeans. No heels though. Always sneakers.

I usually wear capris or slacks and a nice shirt. I did wear jeans and a nice sweater once, but felt kind of slobby--I was REALLY tired that day and just didn't feel like dressing. On my last cruise our table mates wore shorts and sweatshirts. Some nights their shorts were cutoffs. It was kind of embarrassing. They were very nice women, and I got along with them well, but their dinner dress left a lot to be desired. My daughter and I dressed appropriately every night.

Mostly maxi dresses with a shawl but sometimes capris and a 3/4 length top ala Chicos.

It seems that my hubby and I are more and more in the minority about what we feel is appropriate for dinner attire, sadly. We wear nice linen/silk slacks , Capri pants , nice blouse ....hubby in sport coat (no tie) some nights and on others he wears a dress shirt and slacks. On formal night , we do the tux and cocktail dress ( on the 7 night cruises ) because we enjoy getting dressed up. Our feeling , other than we just like to do it , is that DCL and the servers in particular , go to a lot of effort to make the venue quite lovely , their uniforms reflect that as well (Royal Palace / Royal Court in particular ). If there is a "suggested" attire for the evening , we like to adhere to that request as we would if we were guests in a friends home .

I understand this is as subjective as is the taste for certain foods on the menu so take it for what's it's worth.....you asked and that is my own personal opinion. I must add that I will take a couple of pairs of nice slacks that can be worn with various tops and perhaps a different piece of costume jewelry to change the look so my packing is kept to a minimum. Works for us.

I follow the suggested attire, i.e. cruise casual, semi-formal, formal and Pirate of course, the way I see fit, and I like to dress up for dinner (especially if there is an opportunity to get a decent picture with my family! I love heels and wedges, but also wore dressy sandals alot. I wore a maxi dress, of some sort, on cruise casual nights, full pirate costume on pirate night, cocktail dress on semi-formal and a long gown on formal night. (There was also a Halloween night where I wore my Belle costume to dinner). I have never seen, probably out of luck, any one in a wife beater! Our tablemates were always dressed nicely as well. When we traveled with my in laws, my mother in law wore capris or slacks with a nice blouse most nights.

I usually wear nice shorts, nice top and a lightweight sweater. I have a hard time finding shoes to fit my narrow feet so I wear my Olowahu Teva flips.

I enjoying dressing up for dinner but by dressing up, I mean a skirt/top or pants/blouse as compared to jeans and tshirts. As others have stated, as long as you are not in a tank top, you will be fine.
