I order my glasses now from Zenni optical and purchase my contacts usually in Asia and save a fortune. My glasses used to cost well over the equivalent of $600 for a very unusual and very strong prescription, which changes every 6 months or so, and which was usually not made correctly. I pay less than $100 for a year of again very unusual contacts, and those too used to cost me over $500 for a year.
Every pair of Zenni glasses turns out correctly and corrects my vision better than the expensive ones did, and the frames are stylish and don't look cheap for the most part. I would definitely advise getting the coatings even for low prescriptions.
My colleagues in Asia swear by them, and we all own at least a half dozen pairs.
