Someone told me they mailed down a package containing snacks, etc... a few days in advance of their arrival at the WDW resort, therefore reducing their airplane luggage. This person called down to the resort to ask them to hold the package until they arrived (pre 9/11). Has anyone else done this in the past? Is it possible?

I KNOW PEOPLE WHO MAIL DOWN THERE GOLF CLUBS SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO WAIT AT BAGAGE AND IT WAS ONLY ABOUT $14. i AM SURE YOU CAN DO IT. IT CAN'T HURT TO TRY.

Call the resort you are staying at and ask them how to address the box exactly because they want it address just the right way to know when you are coming to get it.

I would definitely call the resort first and ask if there is a fee associated with them holding the package. I had heard a while back that someone wanted to have groceries sent thru netgrocer and the resort wanted to charge something like $10 just to accept the package. eeek!

Hope that helps...

I mailed a package on Monday (1/12) to All Stars and it arrived today (1/16) exactly when they said it would. I mailed a 10 lb. box with my body pillow, food and special treasures for the kids (to cut down on buying souveniers in WDW). It cost $10.50 and I mailed it UPS.

I called my resort phone # (which actually is a switchboard) and asked if Icould ship a pkg to the resort. She said yes and gave me the resort address.

I indicated on all sides of the box to "Hold for Guest arriving 1/26)"
and my name on it several places so there would be no confusion.

WOW! I'm happy to see the resorts are letting you send packages. I thought I had read that they wouldn't accept guest packages anymore becuase of complaints. I was thinking of using netgrocer but deleted the link becuase I didn't think they would accept the package. Of course my brain is so fried from info overload I probably just read something wrong.

If you find my mind, will you please return it:earseek:

I am planning to sending a package down to WDW, and being a DVC member I emailed member services and they said it was no problem and told me the address and to put my name and my arrival date in several places.
