Mailing to VWL

I remember reading somewhere that some of the hotels on property charge for mail. I think it might have been convention hotels? Does anyone know if we would be charged extra to pick up a package at VWL/WL if we mailes something down to ourselves?

I believe the charges, called parcel handling fees, apply to all the hotels and it is $3 (letters or boxes under 4 lbs), $5 (4-20 lbs), and $10 (over 20 lbs). Like banks, Disney is finding more and more ways to charge punitive fees.

I thought those charges only apply to the convention center resorts that contract out their mail/parcel services to an outside company. This would include BWV, BCV and BLT.

I stayed at VWL last year over the Christmas holidays and had 3 boxes mailed to VWL and was not charged a fee.

We stayed @ BWV this past Jan & there was a $10 fee for the package I mailed to myself to be delivered to my room. Between that & the tip I gave to the person delivering the package it cost me more then it did to mail the package in the first place. That being said I plan to mail another package to myself again this Jan only this time I will purchase a return mailing label so I can mail it back to myself at home.

Yes, there will be a package charge at BWV, as it has a convention center attached to the resort. VWL, OKW, SSR and AKV do not have a convention center, so there is no charge there.

Receiving/shipping at the convention center resorts (BWV, BLT, BCV) is contracted out, and it is the contractor that charges the service fee, not Disney.
