We are flying to WDW and staying at the WL Villas from December 2-6. Since we are taking a toddler I'd like to travel with as few extras such as all the diaper, wipes, etc as possible so that we don't have to pay extra for a ton of carry ons. We won't have a rental car while there and I'd prefer not to take time out from my trip to take a cab to the store for supplies.

Is it a pain to get a package shipped to the resort and held for me until we get there? I have an Amazon Prime membership so I can get some of the stuff like diapers shipped for free and was going to price the cost of shipping other stuff in a box vs. the cost of paying for a checked bag.

We always use an online service, there are several that cater specifically to WDW guests. The one we use has something about travel lite in the name. You can order diapers, wipes, food, formula, bottles, swim toys, inflatable tubs - basically everything you need. They'll ship it to your resort far enough in advance so that its there when you arrive. Pack some extras, because if it arrives too early, it may get sent to wherever they hold parcels for all of WDW. It took about an hour for them to fetch hours the last time.

Oh, and the good thing is it will usually all come in one box to save on shipping. They also have entire packages that cater to the age of your child and the duration of your stay. Just choose your diaper, wipe, and fornula/food brand.

We never shipped a box ahead of time. We have used garden grocer to deliver food and supplies. It worked out great for children's items. You can also used diapers.com free two day shipping for those kid of supplies.

Thanks for the suggestions. Garden Grocer looks like it has a good selection. I've looked at diapers.com before but haven't checked out travel lite before.

Garden Grocer is a great service and I'm pretty sure the local Costco there will deliver items to your room as well.

We always order from both/either garden grocer and diapers.com/soap.com every trip! We always are sure to make the second line of the "shipping to" address to say: 'c/o Guest Name & Arrival Date." We have ordered everything from baby essentials to batteries to storage bags to food. Diapers/soap.com has free 2-day shipping over a certain amount. This has helped us so much and it is so nice to just have it all waiting on us when we arrive. This September is going to be my first trip since being diagnosed with multiple food allergies and I am very pleased to see all the allergy friendly foods that diapers/soap.com offers. They have a huge selection! You may already know this, but fi you have any questions about the resort address, I would look on the resort's info thread on the Resort Forum. Most of these info threads have that info collected on the first page. Happy planning!

I've shipped a box myself and I have used Amazon. I have not had a problem with either method! Enjoy your vacation

I've shipped boxes mutliple times to avoid carting too much on the plane. Never had a problem just time it so they arrive a day or two before you. I've even shipped stuff back. :rolleyes2

I ship a case of water from costco and a box using UPS everytime we go.

Never a problem:)

i was just debating whether or not to do this on our next trip. thanks everyone for the reassurance.

last trip i had a case of water shipped from costco and had no troubles, but i was nervous about shipping a box of actual stuff- diapers, toiletries, etc.

thanks!
;)

I'm in the same boat. I was going to ship a box too, but I've decided to order from garden grocer. It's going to cost the same either way. I'll be there a week before you.
