Hi,
For all of us mailing out our invitations after the stamp price increase happens on Monday May 14th, we are all actually lucking out because we are paying less to send them out.
In the past to send out an invitation by mail, you put on a .39 stamp on the response card envelope and then paid .63 to send the invitation out as long as it was 2 ounces, $1.02 total.
Starting Monday May 14th, while the price of everyday 1 ounces stamps go up to .41, the price to send a 2 ounce letter, invitation etc, goes down to .58 cents costing .99 to send each one out.
Some of the post offices might not have the new 2 ounce stamps so you might have to pay the $.63 to get your invitations out if they have to be sent in the next couple of weeks.
