Mailing gift baskets

Hi
Can anyone give me some info for mailing gift baskets? I'll mail it UPS, but how many days in advance should I mail it. Would a week be enough time? Also, after we arrive, do they bring it out to you when you check in or deliver it to your room? It will be in a box. It's a surprise for my DGD (5). Thanks!!

Doesn't UPS have several options that "lock" in your date??

I have shipped water in past thru staples and if it arrives earlier than arrival they hold it for you. When you check in, they tell you. Our items were delivered to our room about an hour later, no biggie.

Not sure they'd accommodate "in room" delivery since rooms assigned when you check in. Though I also had Disney florist send a package (snack pack) to my son that was in the room after we returned from a park.
