What have you mailed ahead for your toddler?

So far, I have..

-Table Toppers
-disposable bibs
-wipes
-diapers
-swim diapers
-fruit cups
-Goldfish
-Gerber Yogurt Blends

I plan on putting a lot more snacks in as well as vegetable cups. What else would you mail ahead?

ETA: We are flying and not stopping at a grocery store, nor do I really want to get food delivered.

We basicly tried to only send items we would not want to bring home. Like Diapers, we tried to estimate how many, same with food and swimmies. How old is your todler? 2, 3, 4 and how long are you staying for? both answers make a big difference. Looks like you have a real good start on packing. Just remeber nothing that needs to be refrigerated.

Peggy and Scott :wizard:

She will be 22 months, so almost 2 when we go. We are going for 3 nights.

Unless you are just doing carryons, I don't think you need to send a package ahead for 3 nights. I have gone multiple times with very young children for a week and never sent ahead nor stopped for supplies. I just pack my bags very well (ie, diapers stuffed in shoes, etc). You can also buy things like Pepperidge Farms at the hotel store, and they aren't even marked up much, if at all.

I have sent a box ahead of time before, a few times, with snacks and laundry supplies, extra treats, etc. But, we only bring carry ons, and always stay a week. For only 3 nights, I wouldn't bother. I'd just bring what you need and enjoy. Or, maybe you can go longer? :thumbsup2 just kidding, but really for only 3 nights you don't need much.

If you weren't mailing ahead, what kind of food did you have on hand for your toddler? I want to take things for partial meals and snacks, so she can share with us and not always need a kids meal.

Cheerios are not sold on property, so pack those if they are a favorite of your child's. Otherwise, you seem to have the main items covered!

I wouldn't mail ahead for 3 nights...You can find plenty of things for your toddler to eat. Even if you don't want to get a kids meal (although sometimes a good 'deal' cuz it includes the milk) - you can just get a couple of sides - fruit, apple sauce, muffin, and then share some bits of your food if you don't want to get a separate one for dd. You can get adult meals plenty big enough to split with her at C/S places - turkey sandwiches, pizza meals, chicken sandwiches, etc. PLENTY with an adult meal. But, like I said - by the time you buy a milk - sometimes you might as well buy the kids meal.

Depending how heavy it is - by the time you send all that stuff - it might cost you as much as 4 or so kids meals. And if you're only there 3 nights, it's only a bit more to cover her food for your trip.

That pretty much sums up what we pack although we usually go for over a week and stay in a 1 bedroom so I add some more things more simple meals. We do a grocery stop too but I try to ship as many non-perishables as possible to save time. We also ship a box back so I throw in a few toys and things like our ponchos, stroller rain cover, etc.
