Has anyone else received info about a Class Action Settlement
About the RCI Points Exchange Program ?
What does this mean to DVC owners ?
Is it for all DVC owners or only if you ever exchanged for RCI ?

the postcard came a couple of days ago. I filed a claim, heck it's $12 and in the past I have been unable to make an RCI reservation at times.

Looks like all DVC'rs will get it. We got one for each DVC contract we own. Never dealt with RCI before so it does not apply to us.

How did you file a claim ?
Is it $12 total ot $12 of each DVC point you own ?

If you received the postcard, there is a website listed where you can file a claim online.

I also got an email but I just disregarded them. But, hmmm..$12 is lunch money!

Yep, I got mine yesterday....so I guess what you are saying, I will get another one because I have 2 home resorts, but under the same contract? Doesn't really matter since it doesn't apply to us either.

You are eligible if you were unable to exchange your points for a RCI trade.

"If you are a Settlement Class Member who currently is a member of the RCI Points Exchange Program and you attempted to but believe you were unable to obtain Vacation Time within a particular membership year based on the information provided in Section 3 below, you may elect to receive a $12 payment from RCI by checking this box. By selecting this benefit and submitting or mailing this Claim Form you represent that you are a Member of the RCI Points Exchange Program".

You need to provide the dates of your failed trade.

Ah thanks

I received the post card too. I assumed it had to do with an exchange I made for accommodations in Hawaii in 2004.

Not sure if I'm eligible, since I did an exchange and wasn't totally denied. Accommodations weren't first, second, or any third choice for that matter, but I did spend a week at the Marriot - Kolina resort.

So I filled out the form to see if I would get the $10. :confused3

Funny. I got one but I thought it was due to another timeshare I own which is also affiliated with RCI. I'm not sure if my name being on a list is worth the $12 or not...... Wonder if that will be sold to some telemarketing group or something.
